Oat flour is the gluten-free flour I reach for most often when baking gluten-free! It's affordable, forgiving, and just works in so many recipes. Check out my favorite oat flour dessert recipes below!

Oat Flour Desserts
Whether you want to make a gluten free pumpkin pie with an oat flour pie crust or a batch of chewy oat flour chocolate chip cookies, whole-grain, naturally gluten-free oat flour is the right choice. On its own, paired with other gluten-free flours such as almond or tapioca flour, or added to a homemade gluten free flour blend, oat flour is my very favorite flour with which to bake!
When I developed the recipes for my cookbook, Flourless, I realized that oat flour is a gluten-free baker's little secret gift. It performs similarly to wheat flour and can often be swapped 1:1 for all-purpose flour by weight. It's especially wonderful in cakes, creating a gorgeously fluffy texture and fork-tender crumb, yet I equally love it in cookies, tarts, and more!
In this post, you'll find my favorite gluten-free oat flour desserts, the tried-and-true recipes I fall back on over and over again. I hope you'll find something here to satisfy your sweet cravings and fall in love with oat flour as much as I have.
Note: A gentle reminder that not everyone with celiac disease can eat oats because of a protein called avenin. If you can't eat oats, I recommend trying brown rice flour or sorghum flour in these recipes instead of oat flour. See my post on gluten-free flours for more options.
