Just two ingredients - fruit and yogurt - plus a food processor are needed to make this refreshing and easy homemade Greek frozen yogurt. This recipe is naturally sugar-free and gluten-free, and you can use any fruit you like!

Essentially frozen yogurt soft serve, this quick and easy homemade recipe could hardly be easier to make. Just two ingredients are all you need to create a protein-rich, delicious dessert that will satisfy any craving. It's a little bit like one-ingredient banana ice cream, but in a yogurt-y form.
Greek yogurt is one of my favorite things to eat - not only is it deliciously tangy and creamy, but it is also high in calcium and protein. When you whirl it with frozen fruit, it turns into a wonderfully tart, homemade frozen yogurt that's made in just a few minutes.
You can use any frozen fruit you like in this recipe, making it as versatile as it is healthy and delicious. Cherries and raspberries are my preferred combination (shown here), although when I'm in the mood to go tarter, I do just raspberries. But you can't go wrong with any fruit you like: strawberries, peaches, blueberries, nectarines ... the possibilities are virtually endless. And, there's no added sugar beyond the fruit's natural sweetness (if you need a little something more, a drizzle of honey or maple syrup is perfect).

Why You'll Love It
- Good for you. Greek yogurt is high in calcium and protein (plus it tastes really, really good), making this a good-for-you dessert choice. And the fruit! Fruit is nature's sweet gift, making this frozen yogurt naturally sugar-free yet still slightly sweet. Plus, there are no weird or processed ingredients that you might find in store-bought versions.
- Easy. Frozen fruit is blended with creamy Greek yogurt to make a dessert that takes only minutes to make. Keep Greek yogurt in your fridge and frozen fruit in your freezer to have handy anytime you want a quick dessert.
- Versatile. You can throw in any frozen fruit you feel like having, or do a combination!
- Minimal ingredients. Yogurt and fruit - that's it!

Ingredients Needed
Here's what you need to make this Greek frozen yogurt. Make sure to scroll down to my recipe card at the bottom of this post for the full ingredient amounts and instructions!
- Greek yogurt - You can use whole-fat or low-fat Greek yogurt.
- Frozen fruit - Any combination of frozen fruit works here! I especially love berries like raspberries and strawberries.
- Maple syrup or honey: If you want a bit more sweetness, use maple syrup or honey.
Fun Fruit Combos
- Raspberries and cherries - My FAV! I love the combo of slightly tart raspberries and sweet cherries ... resulting in the perfect sweet-tart creamy frozen yogurt.
- Blueberries and cherries - I also love a sweeter version with cherries and blueberries.
- Strawberries and raspberries - For a vibrantly pink yogurt blend, use frozen raspberries and strawberries.
- Stone fruit - Skin on or off, your choice, then pit peaches, nectarines, or plums, chop them up, and freeze. I love peaches and blueberries, or just nectarines and yogurt!

Step-by-Step Instructions
Here's an overview in photos of how

1. Prep: Add the yogurt and fruit to a food processor.

2. Start processing: Process the fruit and yogurt, then stop and scrape down the bowl of the processor.

3. Finish: Keep running the food processor until the yogurt and fruit are well blended.

4. Add maple syrup if using: Drizzle in some sweetener if using, and pulse to combine.

Tips & Recipe Notes
- Add more fruit. My ratio of 2 cups of frozen fruit to 1 cup of Greek yogurt works perfectly for a creamy, soft-serve style of yogurt, which I love. For a firmer, more scoopable yogurt, use 4 cups of frozen fruit to 1 cup of yogurt.
- What type of yogurt? I use plain Greek yogurt - non-fat, low-fat, or whole-fat yogurt works fine. I also like using a Skyr yogurt (and Icelandic style of yogurt that is similar to Greek yogurt) like Siggi's brand. Skyr is a bit higher in protein than Greek yogurt, if that is helpful. Do NOT use a regular (thinner) yogurt; you need the thickness of Greek yogurt for this recipe.
- Can I make it ahead? Technically, yes, you can make this yogurt ahead of time. However, if stored in the freezer, it will become super hard. I recommend letting it sit out on the counter or in the fridge for a bit before scooping it so it softens a little. I also prefer to eat this frozen yogurt as soon as I make it.
- Can I use a blender? Yes, a blender also works. I have even made this recipe using a stick blender. As long as you mix the fruit and yogurt until it is very smooth and creamy, anything works.
- Add-ins. These could include mini chocolate chips or chopped chocolate, almond butter, fresh mint leaves, vanilla extract, or almond extract.
Proper Storage
This frozen yogurt is best eaten as soon as it's made, but if you want to make it in advance, store it in an airtight, freezer-safe container in the freezer. You'll want to let it soften slightly on the counter before serving.
